L’article propose quelques repères utiles à la compréhension de la problématique de la transaction sociale. Il en situe la genèse dans la sociologie américaine et la sociologie européenne. Il la fonde dans un intérêt originel pour la morphologie sociale et la morphologie spatiale et dans le souci d’articuler dans l’analyse du social de l’inductif et du déductif faisant ainsi place non seulement au capital accumulé dans la pratique théorique, mais aussi à celui de ceux qui décident, innovent, agissent. Il inscrit la problématique dans la volonté d’articuler production et reproduction de la société et indique l’intérêt qu’il peut y avoir à en raisonner de manière analogique les relations avec les « nouvelles sociologies » sans en pervertir l’orientation initiale : faire de l’interaction – échange, négociation et imposition –, du conflit et du compromis des éléments centraux de la dynamique collective.

Sociology of social transaction. Landmarks on the genesis of the problematicsThe article proposes a few useful landmarks to understand the problematics of social transaction. It situates its genesis in American sociology and European sociology. It founds it in an original interest for social morphology and spatial morphology, aiming at articulating in the analysis of the inductive and deductive social, making space not only for the capital accumulated in theoretical practice, but also for those who decide, innovate, act. It places the problematic in the will of articulating production and reproduction of the society and shows the potential interest of reasoning in an analogical way the relations with “new sociologies” without perverting the initial orientation: placing interaction – exchange, negotiation and imposition-, of the conflict and the compromise in the centre of the collective dynamics.
