Resumé Le déficit de l’attention et l’instabilité psychomotrice peuvent être explorés dans un modèle à trois niveaux distinguant les niveaux de fonctionnement neuronal, cognitif et intra-psychique. Les processus cognitifs et intra-psychiques ne doivent pas être confondus. Les réseaux neuronaux impliqués dans ces troubles sont décrits par la neuroimagerie tandis que l’évaluation neuropsychologique apporte des informations sur le processus de l’attention. Des stratégies de traitement spécifiques sont associées aux trois niveaux de fonctionnement, neuronal, cognitif et intra-psychique : médication, rééducation cognitive et psychothérapie, respectivement.

Understanding attention disorders and psychomotor instability with a three-level model combining neural networks, cognitive and psychic dimensions Attention Disorders and Psychomotor Instability can be explored within a three-level model distinguishing neuronal, cognitive and intra-psychic operating levels. Cognitive and intra-psychic processes need not to be collapsed. The neural systems involved in these disorders are described through neuroimaging while neuropsychology assessments provide information on attention process. Specific treatment strategies are associated with the three operating levels, neuronal, cognitive and intra-psychic : medication, cognitive rehabilitation and psychotherapy respectively.
