RésuméD’abord l’article tente de différencier la psychanalyse dite classique, le travail psychanalytique et l’aspect psychothérapeutique secondaire que les deux amènent par rapport aux dépressions, en évoquant deux brefs aperçus cliniques très partiels. Il rappelle en passant l’outil d’évaluation unique de la profondeur de la dépression propre à la psychanalyse. Puis il évoque brièvement l’évolution de la pensée de Freud à travers un petit nombre d’articles essentiels qui servent de soubassement à ce travail analytique dans les dépressions. Ensuite l’article passe en revue un petit nombre d’éclairages théoriques fondamentaux de quelques auteurs postfreudiens qui constituent des références de base personnelles à ce travail, des outils de navigation. Ensuite il apporte une définition de la transformation du fonctionnement psychique de fond que ce travail vise à travers la relation particulière et à chaque fois unique analyste-patient, qui passe par un vécu chez les deux, une mise en représentation qui doit nécessairement se lier à des affects pour que le changement se produise. Cela nécessite un temps considérable et cette expérience n’est jamais transposable comme telle d’un patient à l’autre, d’un analyste à l’autre et d’une rencontre patient-analyste à l’autre. Pour terminer il désigne quelques obstacles dans la culture de notre époque à ce mode de travail dans les dépressions.

The article attempts firstly to differentiate wall is called classical psychoanalysis from what psychotherapeutic work is and the secondary psychotherapeutic aspect that both contribute to working through depression. Two brief clinical cases are partially exposed. It brings to light the instrument of evaluating depression that is unique to psychoanalysis. It then refers briefly to the evolution of Freud’s thinking through a few essential articles that are at the heart of psychoanalytic work in depressions. The author goes on to review new sources of theoric development among postfreudian authors who are the main references on which this work is based, as instruments of navigation. A definition of transformation in psychic functioning that is the fundamental outlook on each unique relation between patient and analyst. Both live the experience by representations which must necessarily be linked affectively for change to come out. This needs considerable time and the experience is never transposable as such from one patient to another, from one analyst to another and from one patient-analyst encounter to another. Lastly, it underlines some of the obstacles that the culture of our present epoque opposes to this form of work with depression.
