La clinique des adolescents nous met en présence d’organisations psychiques limites ou instables. Dans ces registres pré-symptomatiques, la dimension de l’inhibition constitue un recours précieux pour freiner les exigences pulsionnelles. Toutefois, ce type d’organisation subjective basé sur l’« inhibition par opposition » ne permet pas encore d’assurer le nouage de la satisfaction et de la loi, lequel nouage requiert l’advenue du symptôme. A défaut, notamment dans les problématiques obsessionnelles et anorexiques, s’instaure une forme de disjonction temporelle qui entraîne le sujet dans un dédale auto-réflexif poussé jusqu‘à l’absurde, jusqu’au point d’être emprisonné dans une oscillation perpétuelle entre comportements inhibés ou ascétiques et comportements débridés ou transgressifs.

The clinical analysis of adolescents confronts us with some instable or borderline organisations of psychic disorders. Within these pre-symptomatic registers, inhibition is a dimension that is a precious resort to restrain the demands of instinctuel urges. However, this type of subjective organisation based on « inhibition by opposition » does not yet allow to insure binding satisfaction to law, a bond which requires the symptom to take its place. Failing this, especially in obsessional and anorexic cases, a form of temporal disjunction sets off which draws the subject into an autoreflexive maze of absurdity to the point of being locked into a perpetual oscillation between inhibited or ascetic behaviours and unleashed or transgressive ones.
