RésuméCet article se propose de mettre en évidence l’importance de la médiation épistolaire dans son rôle d’entour moteur de la construction du savoir scientifique. C’est à travers l’analyse d’une correspondance entre phonéticiens abordée en tant que dispositif textuel interactif, considérée dans sa fonction de médiation et saisie à travers les enjeux scientifiques qui la parcourent que nous entendons illustrer ici la contribution de la lettre de scientifiques à la construction d’un savoir spécifique.

Abstract: On epistolary mediation in the construction of scientific knowledgeThis article proposes to focus on the importance of epistolary mediation as driving force in the construction of scientific knowledge. It is by analysing the correspondence between phoneticians approached as a textual interaction, considered in its mediatory function and captured through the scientific challenges which permeate it, that we shall illustrate here the contribution of the exchange of letters between two scholars to the construction of scientific knowledge in a specific field.
