La psychanalyse a indéniablement apporté du changement dans la clinique. Bien qu’elle soit de moins en moins admise, elle a introduit de nouvelles références, de nouveaux concepts, y compris pour les thérapeutes non orientés par elle et même s’ils s’en défendent. On en viendrait même à oublier que certaines avancées sont dues à la psychanalyse et fondent le travail de beaucoup. Cela dit, le qualificatif « psychanalytique » apposé à celui de clinique suppose des conditions, sans lesquelles celle-ci n’aurait rien de spécifique et entrerait dans un modèle normé, voire normatif.

Psychoanalysis has undeniably brought about change in the clinic. While it is less and less accepted, it has introduced new references, new concepts, including for therapists not oriented by it and even if they defend themselves against it. One could even forget that some advances are due to psychoanalysis and found the work of many. That said, the term “psychoanalytic” affixed to that of clinic supposes some conditions, without which it would have nothing that is specific and would enter into a standardized model, or even a normative one.
