RésuméLes quelques 420 articles sur le Moyen Âge publiés dans la Revue du Nord depuis un siècle constituent un ensemble important et régulier, en dépit de quelques aléas circonstanciels, diversifié et érudit qui s’apprécie de façon immédiate par le volume global d’études, leur répartition sur les siècles médiévaux, le nombre et la qualité des contributeurs. Mais, au-delà de cette comptabilité, l’analyse des sujets d’études montre que ce siècle de publications s’inscrit dans l’évolution des méthodes de la reconstruction historique et du renouvellement des questionnements. Les articles, surtout ceux publiés depuis les années soixante-dix, illustrent de façon pertinente le dynamisme retrouvé de la période médiévale au sein de la revue et la prise en compte des orientations récentes de la recherche historique appliquée aux espaces septentrionaux.

A Hundred Years of Medieval History in the Revue du Nord (1910-2009)The circa 420 articles published in the Revue du Nord over a century that deal with the Middle-Ages constitute a valuable and consistent body, regardless of a few circumstantial occurrences, that is both diversified and learned and can be immediately appraised through the mere volume of the contributions, the way they evenly range over the medieval centuries and the number and eminence of the contributors. Now, beyond this simple accounting, the study of the topics addressed highlights the fact that this century of publications is thoroughly in step with the evolution of the methods of historical reconstruction and with the reassessment of questioning. The articles, with a special emphasis on those published since the Seventies, illustrate in a significant manner the recovered dynamism of the Medieval period in the editorial content and the regard for the latest orientations of historical research in their application to the Northern areas.
