L’article propose un panorama des principales contributions d’Aumann et de Schelling à la théorie des jeux. Il distingue, pour Aumann, les travaux consacrés aux jeux coopératifs et non coopératifs. Pour Schelling, il met l’accent sur les jeux de pure coordination et les points focaux, d’une part, les effets collectifs de l’interdépendance des anticipations stratégiques, d’autre part. Il montre, en conclusion, l’existence des liens profonds, quoique partiellement cachés, entre les recherches d’Aumann et celles de Schelling concernant les croyances des joueurs et l’approche cognitive d’une situation de jeu.

Two Nobel prizes for game theory The paper is a survey of the Aumann’s and Schelling’s main contributions to game theory. For Aumann, a distinction is made between his works devoted to cooperative and non cooperative games. As for Schelling, pure coordination games and focal points are underlined on one hand, and the collective impact of interdependance strategic expectations, on the other hand. In conclusion, the paper shows the existence of a profound, but partially hidden, link between Aumann’s and Schelling’s researches concerning the players’ beliefs and the cognitive approach of a game situation.
