RésuméL’étude cherche à vérifier l’existence du pluralisme des informations d’actualité sur l’internet en analysant les différentes manières de traiter un même sujet : ici, un sondage donnant M. Le Pen en tête au premier tour des élections présidentielles de 2012. L’article montre comment les sites d’information produisent des énonciations différenciées en fonction de leurs cadres de production (professionnels ou amateurs) mais aussi d’héritages culturels établissant de véritables normes d’écriture (factuelle ou de commentaire). Au-delà de ce clivage, apparaissent des zones de porosités, au sein desquelles les sites investissent le registre de l’indignation pour occuper le terrain médiatique sur l’internet.

Disparities in online patterns of journalistic approaches and editorial statements. Case study of a poll about Marine Le Pen and the 2012 presidential electionThe study investigates the existence of online news pluralism by analyzing the way in which different websites dealt with a particular topic: a poll that gave Marine Le Pen first place in the first round of the 2012 presidential election. The article shows how different websites produce distinct statements depending on their respective production contexts (professional or amateur) and on the cultural heritages that define the norms governing their writing (such as factual wording vs. commentary). Beyond these differences, some areas of convergence can be identified, with different websites all treating this news with indignation, in order to remain visible in the digital media landscape.
