Cet article se fonde sur une observation participante au sein du réseau Génération identitaire. Elle comprend une ethnographique du camp de formation qui porte les caractéristiques d’une institution totale. Les participants sont placés dans un jeu de rôle où ils se réinventent en défenseurs d’un territoire supposément en danger face à une menace extérieure. Ils se pensent en héros au sein d’une communauté coupée du monde extérieur. L’entre-soi sur leurs sites web et sur les réseaux sociaux les autorise alors à y prolonger leur identité militante. L’étude met ainsi en évidence l’importance de l’organisation dans la mobilisation sur Internet de ce groupe d’extrême droite.

This article is based on participant observation within the network “Génération identitaire”. It consists of an ethnographic study of the training camp that has all the characteristics of a full-blown institution. Participants are given role-playing in which they reinvent themselves as the defenders of a territory supposedly threatened from the outside. They see themselves as heroes within a community cut off from the outside world. The closed community in which they operate between their websites and social networks enables them to extend their militant identity. This study shows the impact of this organization in the far-right group’s mobilization on Internet.
