Résumé « Pour une pastorale de la vie morale »Dans les années avivées par l’esprit du concile Vatican II, le jésuite-psychanalyste Louis Beirnaert propose une pastorale de la vie morale qui ne se borne pas à répéter au sujet les interdictions qu’il connaît déjà, la plupart du temps. Une meilleure évaluation de l’acte, grâce aux innovations fournies par les sciences humaines, lui apparaît essentielle afin de ne pas enfermer les pasteurs dans l’obligation d’« acclimater » localement et en situation un cadrage normatif souvent rejeté. « Pratique de la direction spirituelle et psychanalyse »Beirnaert s’interroge sur deux aspects particuliers des liens entre psychanalyse et direction spirituelle, à savoir la formation de l’accompagnateur en psychologie et/ou psychanalyse et le cas difficile des analysants qui suivent parallèlement un accompagnement spirituel. Pour le premier aspect, il envisage une formation de base aux notions fondamentales sans pour autant exiger une psychanalyse de la part de l’accompagnateur. Pour le second cas, il propose de débusquer les principaux pièges de ce type d’accompagnement.

“In favour of a pastoral of moral life”In the years animated by the spirit of Vatican II, the Jesuit-psychoanalyst Louis Beirnaert brings us a pastoral of moral life that does not simply repeat well-known prohibitions. He feels that a deeper assessment of the act, with the help of innovations made by the human sciences, is essential if we are to avoid confining pastors by obliging them to “adapt” oft-rejected normative guidelines to different places and situations. “The Practice of spiritual guidance and psychoanalysis”Beirnaert investigates two specific aspects of the link between psychoanalysis and spiritual guidance. Firstly the training of the accompanying party in psychology and/or in psychoanalysis and secondly, the complex cases of analysands who simultaneously benefit from spiritual accompaniment. For the first, he envisages basic training in the fundamental notions, though not to the point of demanding psychoanalysis from the accompanist. For the second, he gives suggestions to avoid the main traps of this type of accompaniment.
