RésuméAu nom des organisateurs du colloque de l’ atem (Association de théologiens pour l’étude de la morale) tenu au Louverain (Neuchâtel, Suisse) fin août-début septembre 2006, l’auteur exprime, dans cette brève introduction, les enjeux d’une relecture généalogique et critique de la pensée de Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945) dans le contexte historique de sa production et dans l’optique de sa réception et de sa reconstruction. Le croisement des regards, attentif aux liens complexes de l’herméneutique biblique, de l’éthique, de la dogmatique et de la théologie pratique chez le théologien et résistant luthérien, nous oblige à une reprise créative et responsable, sous les conditions du temps présent et du monde réel. Loin de signifier un retour nostalgique et hagiographique à une œuvre inachevée ou à un témoin exemplaire et tragique, la célébration du centième anniversaire de la naissance de Bonhoeffer est l’occasion de nouveaux déploiements théoriques, pratiques et politiques.

In this short introduction written on behalf of the organisers of the atem (Association de théologiens pour l’étude de la morale) colloquium, which took place in Louverain (Neuchâtel, Switzerland) between the end of August and the beginning of September 2006, the author describes the challenge of a new, genealogical and critical reading of the works of Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945), in the historical context of their production and in view of their reception and reconstruction. The interfacing of visions, all attentive to the complex links of biblical hermeneutics, ethics, dogmatic and practical theology in the work of the lutheran resistant, obliges us to revise our reading, with creativity and responsibility, in the light of today’s situation and the real world. Far from signalling a nostalgic and hagiographical return to an unfinished work or a tragic, exemplary life, the centenary of Bonhoeffer’s birth is an occasion for new theoretical, practical and political diffusion.
