Il suggère ensuite trois usages possibles de la peur au cinéma.

This article starts from a scene in which a victim becomes a monster under the blows of the man who is to become its future victim. It suggests a study of the way horror films illustrate the instant when a monster is revealed both to the diegetic character and to the spectator. It concludes by examining some uses of horror in Hollywood films.
