RéSUMé — Dans cet article, l’auteur précise que le terme « excitation », fût-il associé à « pulsionnelle », garde des attaches neurologiques qui font de cette appellation un concept imprécis en psychanalyse, une aporie métapsychologique, un « non liquet freudien ». Il tente une hypothèse fondée sur la notion de co-excitation libidinale.

SUMMARY — In this article, the author shows that even if the term, “excitation” was associated with “drive”, it retains its neurological links which make it an imprecise term in psychoanalysis, a metapsychological aporia, a Freudian non liquet. A hypothesis is made based on the notion of libidinal coexcitation.

RESUMEN — En ese articulo, el autor precisa que el termino excitación aunque esta vinculado a »pulsional”, conserva vínculos neurológicos que hacen de esa apelación un concepto impreciso en psicoanálisis, una aporía metapsicológica, un »non liquet freudiano”. Intenta una hipótesis fundada sobre la noción de co-excitación libidinal.

ZUSAMMENFASSUNG — In diesem Artikel erklärt der Autor, dass der Begriff « Erregung », wenn er auch mit dem Adjektiv « triebhaft » assoziiert werden mag, doch weiterhin Bindungen zur Neurologie unterhält, die diese Bezeichnung zu einem ungenauen Konzept in der Psychoanalyse, zu einer metapsychologischen Aporie, einem freudschen non liquet werden lassen. Er versucht eine Hypothese, die auf dem Begriff der libidinösen Miterregung beruht.
