Il se définit par ses singularités et par le fait qu’il reste un autre support de manque. La constellation ternaire, pulsion-objet-surmoi peut être l’objet d’une esquive au profit de théories régressives binaires, pulsion-objet, mettant l’objet en lieu et place de l’instance surmoïque.
