La Shoah dans les manuels d’histoire allemands publiés depuis 1950

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2010. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : The Holocaust in German history textbooks published since 1950 (from the roots of anti-Semitism to the Nazi policy of exclusion and genocide)How is the Holocaust, broadly defined, presented in German 9th and 10th grades history textbooks after the 1950s ? There is a self-awareness in Germany of its values and needs which sets the acquisition of a particular way of thinking, set values and a body of knowledge as high priorities for the younger generations. The presence of Holocaust related issues appeared very early in post-war Germany, however they were limited in number and quality in comparison with what has appeared in more recent times. The extent of coverage on the Holocaust in texts, in written documents and iconography, as well as in lessons and teaching material, has increased continually after 1970 due to an evolution in the didactic discourse as a result of historical research, and attention in the media where the subject of the Holocaust has a strong presence and makes headlines.
