L’enthousiasme et les attentes suscités en Russie par l’élection de Donald Trump se sont rapidement évanouis. Force est en effet de constater que l’élection du milliardaire américain n’a pas abouti à une progressive réconciliation russo-américaine, mais a amené la relation dans une impasse. Dans ces conditions, Donald Trump serait-il le candidat dont la Russie saluerait la réélection en 2020 ?

Rarely has official Russia so rejoiced in the election of an American president. However, the expectations generated by the election of Donald Trump soon evaporated. Indeed, rather than leading to a gradual Russian-American reconciliation, the election of the American billionaire has brought the relationship to a deadlock. In these circumstances, would Russia welcome Donald Trump’s re-election in 2020 ?
