RésuméLa polémique entre Michel de Montecalerio et Jean Buridan sur le statut du point a été remarquée depuis longtemps. Elle est conservée dans le manuscrit BnF Lat. 16621, provenant de la collection d’Etienne Gaudet. Nous donnons le texte de Montecalerio avec les renvois à celui de son adversaire. La critique ayant rapproché cette polémique d’une autre question de Buridan figurant dans le même manuscrit, nous donnons en annexe l’édition de cette autre question.

The controversy between Michel de Montecalerio and Jean Buridan about the statute of the point is known since a long time. It is preserved in the manuscript BnF Lat. 16621, the scientific manuscript of the Etienne Gaudet’s collection. In this paper we give Montecalerio’s text with all the references to Buridan’s one. Some critics have established a connection between this controversy and another Buridan’s question conserved in the same manuscript; so, in annex we give the edition of that other question.

RiassuntoLa polemica tra Michele di Montecalerio e Giovanni Buridano a proposito dello statuto del punto ha ricevuto da tempo l’attenzione degli studiosi. Essa è conservata nel ms. BnF Lat. 16621, il manoscritto scientifico della collezione di Etienne Gaudet. Il testo di Montecalerio è edito in questa sede con i rimandi a quello del suo avversario. Gli interpreti hanno poi associato questa polemica con un’altra questione di Buridano che si trova nello stesso manoscritto; diamo dunque in appendice anche l’edizione di tale questione.
