The article demonstrates that in the center of Europe there was a strong and profound impact of numerous works of Spanish thought. Written in Latin or Spanish in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, by scholastics or humanists, these approaches form an important root of modern philosophy, since they were received very openly in many other European countries – especially before the national boom of the latter–, and their ideas were adopted, manipulated and even plagiarized. Afterwards the works were discarded, and their authorship was forgotten. It is hypothesized that these cases of absorption and oblivion of Spanish philosophy are systematic, and that they have to do with mechanisms typical of the black legend, in a kind of operation of erasure or denial, to end up in the current ignorance.

El artículo demuestra que en el centro de Europa hubo un fuerte y profundo impacto de numerosas obras de pensamiento español. Obras escritas en latín o español en los siglos XVI y XVII, por escolásticos o humanistas, cuyos planteamientos forman una raíz importante de la filosofía moderna, ya que fueron recibidas muy abiertamente en muchos otros países europeos – sobre todo, antes de su auge nacional–, sus ideas se adoptaron, manipularon y hasta plagiaron, y luego las obras se desecharon y su autoría quedó olvidada. Se plantea la hipótesis de que esos casos de absorción y olvido de filosofía española son sistemáticos, y que tienen que ver con mecanismos propios de la leyenda negra, en una especie de operación de borrado o negación, para terminar en la actual ignorancia.
