En parcourant l’ensemble de la bibliographie d’Hergé, nous ne trouvons aucune étude consacrée à son aliénation spirituelle et à ses conséquences. Or, s’il est vrai que l’aliénation protéiforme touche tous les hommes, elle se révèle particulièrement prégnante dans sa forme spirituelle chez le père de Tintin. Notre recherche porte sur les sources et les conséquences aliénantes dans la vie et l’œuvre d’Hergé, en nous appuyant sur la pensée et les travaux de Paul Tillich et de Bertolt Brecht, offrant ainsi une nouvelle grille de lecture pour aborder les chefs d’œuvre du neuvième art, signés Hergé.

Perusing all of the Hergé bibliography, there is no study to be found devoted to Hergé’s alienation and its consequences. While all humans may be affected by multiform alienation, its spiritual variant manifests itself with particular strength in the author of the Tintin albums. In our research we have sought to highlight the sources and consequences of alienation in Hergé’s life and work, basing ourselves on the work and thought of Paul Tillich and Bertolt Brecht, thus offering a new perspective from which to approach Hergé’s masterpieces in the ninth art.
