Du Moyen Âge au début de l’époque moderne, au sein de la spiritualité de langue persane, se sont développés des courants de pensée puissants axés sur la notion de liberté intérieure. Celle-ci est principalement fondée sur une psychologie fine où la vertu cardinale semble être la sincérité. L’article est consacré à trois de ces courants : la Malâmatiyya, la tradition poétique dite de la provocation et la mystique du « détachement absolu ».

From the Middle Ages to the beginning of the modern era, within Persian language spirituality, there developed powerful currents of thought centered on the notion of interior freedom. This is principally based on a refined psychology wherein the cardinal virtue would seem to be sincerity. This article is devoted to three of these currents: the Malâmatiyya, the poetic tradition of provocation, and the mysticism of "absolute detachment".
