RésuméCet article, après une présentation de la Sentencia libri De anima de Thomas d’Aquin, veut manifester la spécificité de la conception thomasienne de l’âme (face notamment à celles d’Avicenne et d’Albert le Grand) et les éléments de détermination intervenant sur la question de l’intellect dans ce Commentaire. Il esquisse ensuite les étapes de l’apparition du concept de forme subsistante, qui permet d’articuler les principes établis précédemment, dans les œuvres de l’Aquinate.

Thomas Aquinas’s Sentencia Libri de AnimaAfter a presentation of Thomas Aquinas’s Sentencia libri De anima, this article would show the specificity of the thomasian concept of soul (especially with regard to those of Avicenna and Albert the Great) and what determining elements intervene on the question of intellect in this Commentary. It next traces the stages by which the concept of ’subsisting form’, which allows for putting together previously established principles, emerges in Aquinas’s works.
