M.-J. Congar, based on his portrait of Saint Thomas (1937), at the work done by the Leonine Commission, especially R.-A. Gauthier and L.-J. Bataillon, at the publications of G. Théry and É.-H. Wéber, and at the research and « spirit » of M.-D. Chenu.
