Cet article propose un premier aperçu des échanges intervenus lors du séminaire sur la « Gouvernance du très long terme »1, à l’initiative d’un comité de programme réunissant l’Institut de radioprotection et de sûreté nucléaire (IRSN), le Bureau de recherches géologiques et minières (BRGM), le Centre national d’études spatiales (CNES), l’Institut national de l’environnement industriel et des risques (INERIS), le groupe de recherche Mutadis et le Muséum national d’histoire naturelle (MNHN). Ce séminaire a rassemblé près de soixante-dix participants, experts et parties prenantes, avec l’objectif de rendre compte des problématiques de très long terme dans cinq domaines : changement climatique, biodiversité, gestion des débris spatiaux, gestion des déchets radioactifs, stockage géologique de CO2. Des domaines au cœur des enjeux planétaires.

This article gives a first insight into the exchanges during the seminar on “Very long-term governance”1, organised by a programme committee composed of the French IRSN (Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety Institute), Geology and Mining Research Institute (BRGM), National space agency (CNES), National Institute for Environmental Technology and Hazards (INERIS), the Mutadis research group and the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN). This seminar brought together almost seventy participants, experts and stakeholders, with an aim to review very long-term issues in five domains : climate change, biodiversity, outer space debris management, radioactive waste management and geological CO2 storage. All are at the heart of global issues.
