Cet article approche la délicate question du matricide sacrificiel sous un angle à la fois théorique et clinique. Les approches théoriques montrent l’influence d’un environnement traumatique conjugué à une fantasmatique originaire qui travaille à la mise en scène du trauma et évolue en fonction de celui-ci vers une forme sacrificielle, où l’objet primordial joue un rôle clé. Le cas clinique offre au lecteur la scène d’un meurtre accompli comme un sacrifice. La discussion qui s’ensuit montre comment le fantasme sacrificiel peut envahir la psyché du sujet sous une forme sadique, jusqu’à l’acte criminel, acte qui contribue paradoxalement à la structuration psychique et à la construction identitaire du meurtrier.

Sacrificing the Mother. This article addresses the delicate question of sacrificial matricide both in terms of clinical practice and theory. Theoretical approaches shed light on the coming together of a traumatic environment and primary fantasy staging the traumatic experience, which develop into a sacrificial scenario in which the primary object plays a key part. The clinical case explored here shows how the murder perpetrated was staged as a sacrifice. This in turn highlights the ways in which the sacrifice fantasy takes on a sadistic guise and invades the psyche of the subject, ultimately resulting in a criminal act which, paradoxically, becomes a building block of the murderer’s psyche and sense of identity.
