L’auteur entrecroise une double approche. La première concerne le délinquant sexuel aux prises avec l’absence de sens et l’ennui et qui vit terrifié dans une structure délirante qui en découle. La seconde a trait au psychothérapeute et à l’évaluateur qui doivent s’appuyer sur leur accessibilité aux formes primaires de pensée et de « vision » du monde des délinquants pour donner un sens à ce qu’ils croient entendre.

The author takes a two-pronged approach. The first concerns the sex offender, who struggles with meaninglessness and boredom, and who lives terrified in a delusional structure. The second concerns the psychotherapist and the assessor, who must rely on their accessibility to the child’s primary forms of thought and “vision” of the offender’s world, to make sense of what they believe they are hearing.
