N2  - La Polynésie, territoire français autonome de 300 000 habitants isolés au milieu de l’océan Pacifique, doit relever, dans un proche avenir, les challenges de diminuer sa dépendance aux importations et de créer les emplois qui financeront sa politique sociale. Pour cela, elle doit s’équiper d’équipements de transformation qui lui permettront de produire une plus grande partie de ce qu’elle consomme, sans pour autant peser sur le pouvoir d’achat. À cette fin, il faut que les producteurs s’équipent d’outils qui leur permettront de rester rentables tout en proposant des tarifs équivalents à ceux des produits concurrents importés. Pour réussir ce défi, trouver des outils de transformation capables de produire un large spectre de produits est la condition sine qua non du succès, la taille et la capacité de production des outils classiques habituellement proposés par les fabricants restant surdimensionnés par rapport aux besoins du marché polynésien. La flexibilité de l’outil de transformation sera alors la clef de la réussite de leur projet; French Polynesia, an autonomous French territory of 300,000 inhabitants isolated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, must succeed, in the near future, both challenges of reducing its dependence on imports and of creating the jobs that will finance its social policy. To do this, producers must equip themselves with processing equipments that will allow them to produce a greater part of their consumption without weighing on purchasing power. This challenge involves that producers equip themselves with tools that will allow them to remain profitable while offering prices equivalent to those of competing imported products. To meet this challenge, finding processing tools capable of producing a wide range of products is the key for success; the size and production capacity of the classic tools usually offered by manufacturers remaining oversized in relation to the needs of the Polynesian market. The flexibility of the processing tool will then be the key to the success of their project
