Located in an in-between, psychopedagogy has a very special value between the pedagogical and therapeutic fields. It acts as a bridge. It makes it possible to weave threads between these two spaces that, while sometimes bordering each other, remain separate. This article offers a few key elements on the genesis of psychopedagogy. It examines its gradual erasure from the French National Education system. It shows how it can be practiced in a CMPP (medico-psycho-pedagogical center) by describing the possible support of the psychopedagogist using the notions of detour, gap, and mediation within a creative space. Through two clinical vignettes, we can see more clearly the process at work. The article ends by reflecting on the necessary adjustment of the psychopedagogist faced with the different psychic movements of the child around the issue of school, evoking his capacity to absorb and transform them.
