N1 - 3 N2 - The Covid crisis has led to a series of disruptive events that have had a major impact on short food supply chains. Producers were hit hard and had to reorganise their outlets in order to maintain their economic activity. This article aims to understand the dynamics of producers’ resilience by analysing the process of acquiring the resources that enabled them to cope with the crisis. To do this, the authors used the mixed method of quantified narratives, which combines semi-structured interviews with coding and statistical analysis. They conducted 55 interviews, from which 55 reaction narratives describing the producers’ resilience trajectory were written, then coded to create a database listing the resources acquired during the trajectory. Combining thematic and statistical analysis of the qualitative material, their analyses show that resilience is a process embedded in social relations, benefiting from the diversity of actors that make up the producers’ social network. They also show that interpersonal relations were particularly crucial in the implementation of rapid responses, while institutional mechanisms were mobilised later.
