N2  - Des millions d’immigrants ont été forcés de traverser l’Atlantique, amenés en esclavage sur le continent américain. Tous les abus auxquels les Africains ont été soumis : le rapt, la rupture des liens familiaux, le brutal déracinement, le terrible voyage sur les bateaux négriers et la vie de servitude dans le Nouveau Monde constituent un grave traumatisme. Ses cicatrices sont perceptibles dans les conditions d’existence socio-économiques et culturelles de leurs descendants, particulièrement au Brésil. Cet article analyse la façon dont le traumatisme s’est figé dans un complexe culturel transmis à travers les générations; Millions of immigrants were forced to cross the Atlantic Ocean, brought to work as slaves in the american continent. The kidnapping, the break of family bonds, the compulsing moving abroad, the terrible journeys in the black ships and all the mistreats that Africans were submitted undoubtedly set up a highly traumatic situation. The traumas left by slavery can be seen in the social-economical and cultural conditions of their descendants, especially in Brazil. This paper analyses how this traumatic situation was fixed in a cultural complex being transmitted from generation to generation
