La position mélancolique qui se dévoile progressivement semble en être la conséquence, faute d’une organisation œdipienne opérante.  Maternal delight and devastation, a clinical observation of femininity: from an anorectic reaction to a melancholic positionThe anorexic symptomatology seems to be a way of response to the maternal delight and devastation for this female patient, for whom the feminine dimension of her being is still enigmatic and depends on the primal object. The melancholic position which progressively appears seems to be its consequence, in the absence of an operative Œdipean organization.
