<br/><br/> Les Grecs ont laissé peu de témoignages sur l’intimité, ce qu’il y a de plus profond dans l’individu. Mais le vocabulaire grec permet de cerner autant que possible la conception qu’ils se faisaient en ce domaine : sont ainsi étudiés quelques mots, tels aidôs, phrénes, philos, oar, etc.  The Greeks have left but few traces of how they expressed the notion ofintimacy, that which lies at the deepest level of an individual’s inner being. But a close analysis of their vocabulary allows us, as much as it is possible, to uncover the meaning(s) that this notion had for them. In this vein, words such as aidôs, phrénes, philos, oar, etc will be examined.
