N2  - In L’Origine du monde, the first chapters of which appeared in the NRF in 1988, followed by the publication of La Grande Beune in 1996, Pierre Michon left a deliberately stripped down plot: the mad and dead-end desire of a very young teacher for the beautiful tobacconist of a lost village, “a stone’s throw from Lascaux” and prehistoric caves. In 2023, La Petite Beune brings this initiation to a conclusion: Les Deux Beune, at the magnetic confluence of the two rivers, of the two stories, thus accomplishes the resolution of a very old erotic and literary passion. The precise history of such a long writing shows that sexual desire and the desire for a text, just as imperious, are inseparable; Dans L’Origine du monde, dont les premiers chapitres paraissent dans la NRF en 1988, suivis par la publication de La Grande Beune en 1996, Pierre Michon laissait en suspens une intrigue volontairement dépouillée : le désir fou et sans issue d’un très jeune instituteur pour la belle buraliste d’un village perdu, « à deux pas de Lascaux » et des cavernes préhistoriques. En 2023, La Petite Beune conduit cette initiation à son terme : Les Deux Beune, au confluent magnétique des deux rivières, des deux récits, accomplit ainsi la résolution d’une très ancienne passion érotique et littéraire. L’historique précis d’une aussi longue rédaction montre que désir sexuel et désir de texte, tout aussi impérieux, sont indissociables
