<br/><br/> Dyspepsia is a generic term used to describe a range of symptoms affecting the upper digestive tract. These symptoms are relatively non-specific. The first challenge for the clinician is to detect the minority of patients in whom dyspepsia signals a serious pathology, such as gastric cancer. The second challenge is the identification and management of people with functional dyspepsia, which is the main focus of this publication.  La dyspepsie est un terme générique utilisé pour désigner un ensemble de symptômes intéressant la partie supérieure tube digestif. Ces symptômes sont relativement non spécifiques. Le premier défi du clinicien consiste à détecter les patients, minoritaires, chez qui la dyspepsie signale une pathologie grave, telle que le cancer gastrique. Le deuxième défi tient à l’identification et à la prise en charge des personnes atteintes de dyspepsie fonctionnelle ; ce second aspect est l’objectif principal de cette publication.
