<br/><br/> It’s only a short step from democratic anxiety to a feeling of powerlessness. To avoid crossing it, we need to get rid of the idea that there is a free world definitively protected from authoritarianism, and remember that the exercise of freedom presupposes political conditions. From this point of view, the Syrian revolution is an inspiration.
