The Third Man: A thriller at the beginning of the Cold War - 2018.

Seen by its author Graham Greene as a mere thriller, is The Third Man rather a story that is deeply rooted in the context of the beginning of the Cold War? This hypothesis is confirmed by the choice of Vienna, occupied by the four allied powers, as its setting, as well as the characterization of some of its characters. Moreover, the differences between the book and the film give us the opportunity to propose a more detailed analysis of a work that has contributed to the creation of the myth of Vienna as the capital of East and West intelligence.
