Why Psychologists? - 2004.

77

The purpose of this paper is to update a question formerly asked by Marc Richelle. In a postmodern context to some, or ultra-modern to others, with or without transcendence, the psychologist’s place appears to be at a social and epistemological crossroads. A new figure of catharsis and psychotherapeutics, a subjet of complaint as well as fascination, the profession of psychologist crystallizes stakes at the ethical and humanist level that it promotes, if it is only successful in questioning its usefulness.
