The digital environment frequently solicits the opinions and recommendations of its readers, encouraging them to vote or contribute for example. In this paper, the author focuses on two main forms: on the one hand, the way some literary or editorial genres are prescriptive within the discourses and the uses of online writing, in particular with the case of travel blogs. On the other hand, she analyzes the abundance of participants in the field of tourism whose discourses, on the screen’s surface, amount more to cacophony than to recommendation. To conclude, the semiotic and symbolic tags, as well as the logic of statistics that underlies those devices, do not seem to have authority and constantly tend to report the issue of their value.
