<br/><br/> Putting aside any universal definition of self-harm, we propose to reflect on the clinical context of its appearance based on the words of an adolescent, Julia. Far from limiting itself to gathering a set of observations, it is a question here of focusing on the meetings with this adolescent, on the importance of what can be addressed to another on the register of the individual and on the place of the body in self-harm. The notions of hatred and aggressiveness that our contemporary tends to suppress, will allow us to recall the importance of the clinical bet concerning a possible act of enunciation around and from self-mutilation.  Mettant de côté toute définition universelle de l’automutilation, nous proposons de nous pencher sur le contexte clinique de son apparition à partir de la prise de parole d’une adolescente, Julia. Loin de se limiter à rassembler un ensemble d’observations, il est question ici de s’arrêter sur les rencontres avec cette adolescente, sur l’importance de ce qui peut s’adresser à un autre sur le registre du particulier et sur la place du corps s’agissant de l’automutilation. Les notions de haine et d’agressivité que notre contemporain tend à évincer, nous permettront de rappeler l’importance qui revient au pari clinique concernant un possible acte d’énonciation autour et à partir de l’automutilation.
