N2  - This article is based on a study conducted one year after the end of a “post-conflict recovery” project in Mambéré-Kadéï, in the Central African Republic, which specifically aimed to support “micro-entrepreneurs.” It touches on an important debate within the contemporary aid framework: Can support for individual projects be effectively integrated into post-conflict interventions where the priority is restoring social cohesion? Based on interviews with twenty-three beneficiaries and their entourages, we answer this question affirmatively, demonstrating that entrepreneurship can serve as an effective –but often fragile– lever for local recovery and individual resilience
