N1 - 38 N2 - This article analyses the first-round results of the leading political players in the 2024 snap legislative elections — the Nouveau Front populaire (NFP) and the Rassemblement national (RN) — through the lens of gender and (hetero)sexism, adopting an intersectional perspective that considers age, gender, and social class. Four key findings emerge: women turned out to vote in greater numbers than men; they voted for RN candidates at rates similar to those of their male counterparts; the “modern gender gap” observed among young women in 2022 is no longer apparent; and sexist (anti-women) and heterosexist (anti-LGBTQI+) attitudes — which had no effect on RN support in 2022 — now exert symmetrical effects: they increase the likelihood of voting for the RN while decreasing the likelihood of voting for the NFP UR - https://shs.cairn.info/journal-revue-francaise-de-science-politique-2025-1-page-39?lang=en&redirect-ssocas=7080 ER -
