<br/><br/> After discussing three functions of jactance (talking big), the author explores the question of a certain use of language in adolescence, linking it to the register of inter-subjectivisation. The aim is to highlight the importance of redefining investment as it takes shape during puberty. The process of subjectivation involves clarifying the issues and limits in encounters with others, representing a new stage in the work of separation-individuation. The answer the subject finds is based on a principle of construction/destruction, which is both beneficial and potentially threatening, as it intertwines the effects of bonding and unbonding. The register of the oblique appears in its operative function. The author presents a clinical sequence to support and illustrate his remarks.  Après avoir convoqué une situation clinique, l’auteur s’appuie sur trois fonctions de la jactance pour explorer la question d’un certain recours au langage à l’adolescence et l’articuler au registre de l’intersubjectalisation. Il s’agit d’affirmer l’enjeu d’une redéfinition des investissements tels qu’ils prennent forme au cours du pubertaire. Le processus de subjectivation engage à préciser les enjeux et les limites dans la rencontre avec l’autre, participant d’une nouvelle étape dans le travail de séparation-individuation.
