Psychosomatic economy of addictions
- 2025.
30
The author, after recalling the characteristics of addictions, refers to Freud’s models on them. He then presents the contribution of the work of psychosomaticians on similar clinics (auto-soothing processes, slave to quantity) and on the genesis of somatizations, taking into account the conceptual contributions of the Paris Psychosomatic School. From a clinical vignette and the evocation of several others, the author advances the existence of post-abstinence somatic pathologies, in particular in subjects with operative thinking or presenting behavioral or character neuroses. The metapsychological approach to this balance will question the concepts of fixation, organic preform to the drive and somatic compliance.
