Over the past two decades, Turkey’s policy towards Africa has taken on unprecedented scope. While this opening is part of a broader strategy to seek influence on the international stage, particularly within multilateral institutions, it also rests on Ankara’s growing role as a security partner, within a multidimensional strategy combining military diplomacy, security cooperation agreements and arms exports.
