<br/><br/> La thématique de la souffrance est à inscrire dans la construction d'une nouvelle forme sociale, politique, culturelle, une « culture du malheur intime ». Elle est à relier au glissement d'enjeux socioéconomiques à des enjeux identitaires, carac~téristiques de « l'ultramodernité ». Le paradigme de la transaction sociale et les concepts qui y sont liés offrent un outil théorique particulièrement intéressant.  The theme of suffering should be inscribed in the building of a new social, poli~tical and cultural form, a culture of the "intimate misfortune". The theme of suffering should be linked to the transformation of socio-economic stakes into identity stakes that are characteristic of the "ultra modernity". The paradigm of social transaction and the concepts connected to it offer a really interesting theo~retical tool.
