N2  - RésuméLe conte « La Grande Bretèche », lent dévoilement d’un lieu muré où règne l’horreur qui subsiste au crime, métaphorise ce qui oriente l’écriture pour Balzac. L’espace connoté du sexuel vers lequel est tendu l’écriture révèle, au-delà de la logique phallique, la place de la Chose, vers la dignité de laquelle la sublimation élève un objet. L’écrivain nous fait ainsi savoir, à son insu, comment la littérature, par l’intermédiaire du fantasme, permet de jouir de la Chose tout en maintenant une barrière; The short-story, « La grande Bretèche », as the slow disclosure of a pent-up place where the horror that lingers after a crime still prevails, is a metaphor of what fuels Balzac’s writing act. The sexually connoted space aimed at by the writing act unveils, beyond the phallic logic, the place of the Thing, towards which sublimation drives the object. The author, unwillingly, reveals how literature, through fantasy, allows a jouissance of the Thing, while maintaining a barrier
