Through two “enhanced ebooks” in the field of fiction, this article explores the imaginaries of book and reading practices that underlie their design and conception. Screen pages present different forms and figures to be read, watched, and manipulated. This anticipates potential practices that were inherited from print and transformed by the digital medium. Collected discourses of designers (authors and publishers) are linked to the semio-pragmatic approach of the objects.
