This introduction examines the notion of instrumentalization of the body, as conceived by André Bullinger, proposing that it can be seen as a kind of conceptual crossroads allowing us to take account of both solitary sensory-motricity, which allows for the construction of self as a coherent entity, and shared sensory-motricity, which tends toward the dynamic dual construction of two coherent entities which must enter into dialogue so as to go beyond their solitary individual organization.
