<br/><br/> In the virtual space of the social Web, subjective dynamics swing between ordinary and digital identity. In this paper, the author explains key features of social Web interaction and presents both boundaries of the identity continuum on the Internet. Once the framework is posited, the focus is on the character-screen, an extreme form of digital subjectivity, hovering between freedom and constraints of the system.
