<br/><br/> L’Église catholique juge avec raison que « transsubstantiation » est un concept clé pour rendre compte du mystère eucharistique dans une de ses composantes essentielles : la « présence réelle ». Celle-ci est elle-même au cœur de la compréhension et, partant, d’une pratique authentique de l’eucharistie. Mais ce langage a fait et continue de faire problème. L’A. s’efforce ici de replacer la transsubstantiation dans une perspective qui prend en compte certaines évolutions de la théologie, telle qu’elles apparaissent notamment dans plusieurs documents récents du magistère.  The Catholic Church rightly considers the term ‘transubstantiation’ as a key concept to express the eucharistic mystery in one of its essential componants : the real presence. Real presence is itself a key concept to the understanding and, consequently, to the authentic practice of the Eucharist. This kind of language has occasioned, and apparently does not cease to engender, embarrassment. The A. offers here an understanding of transubstantiation which embodies some original theological trends, present in various recent documents of the magisterium.
